IFF Seminar 2025

Under the supervision of the Commodore Superintendent Dockyard (CSD), IFF Centre organized a seminar titled "ADVANCING INDIGEN�US DEVELOPMENT OF THE INTEROPERABLE IFF SYSTEM: EVALUATION, STRATEGIC INTEGRATION AND FUTURE READINESS" on 27 February 2025 at Area Multipurpose Hall, BNS ISSA KHAN. The seminar aimed to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of using interoperable IFF systems across platforms of Bangladesh Armed Forces during war and peacetime with a focus to outline future strategies to develop indigenous interoperable IFF systems for the Armed Forces with Bangladesh Navy in lead role.
The Principal Staff Officer, Armed Forces Division, Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hasan, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, PhD, attended the seminar as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Material), Commander of Chattogram Naval Area, the Commandant of Naval Training and Doctrine Command (NATDOC), DG (Head of Business Division), Sena Kallyan Shangstha, officers from various levels of the tri-services, Higher officials from CETC, China and representatives from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) attended in the seminar.
In the seminar, the esteemed speakers highlighted the importance and necessity of using an interoperable IFF system in the Armed Forces. They also discussed various aspects of developing and implementing the IFF system using indigenous technology and emphasized the need to enhance self-reliance in the overall production of military equipment.
At the end of the seminar, the Principal Staff Officer and senior officials of the three services visited the IFF Centre to observe various activities and current capabilities. During the visit, the Chief Guest expressed satisfaction with the IFF Centre's capabilities and role in developing an indigenous interoperable IFF system to achieve self-reliance for the Armed Forces. He also provided valuable guidance to continue the ongoing initiatives.

BN Cricket Tournament-2024

On February 9, 2025, BN Dockyard hosted the BN CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP-2024 final match between the COMKHUL and COMCHIT WEST teams at Area Sports Ground. The COMCHIT WEST team won ny a margin of thirty runs. In his capacity as Chief Guest, Commodore Superintendent Dockyard Md Ruhul Minhaz (L), OSP, ndc, psc, BN observed the final game and presented awards to the winning and losing team.

Safe Guard Preetibhoj-2025

On 5th February 2025, CSD Organization organized a PRITIBHOJ to mark the completion of SAFE GUARD-2024 in the organization. On the occasion of the reception, ceremonial meals were organized for military and civilian officers and employees at the BN Dockyard Recreation Hall, Ships Company Dining Hall, in front of the JCO’s Mess and inside the Gun Workshop.

Annual Picnic-2024

On 12 January 2025, the CSD Organization hosted Annual Picnic at the Area Sports Complex. The venue was adorned with lively decorations, featuring colorful balloons, festoons, and banners, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Various engaging activities and events unfolded throughout the day, contributing to a truly memorable occasion. Commodore Superintendent Dockyard had the privilege of awarding prizes to deserving workers and the children of dockyard civil personnel who achieved a GPA-5 in their SSC and HSC examinations respectively. These awards served as recognition for their outstanding contributions in repair and maintenance work and academic achievements. A raffle draw program was incorporated into the event, serving as a major attraction among all activities. The picnic was also graced by the presence of other senior naval officers from the Chattogram Naval Area, further enhancing the significance of the event.

Armed Forces Day 2024

The Armed Forces Day was observed in CSD Organisation through various programs. The day started with a special prayer wishing continued development of Bangladesh Armed Forces and the Navy in particular. A both watch held at Dockyard Parade ground on 0805 where selected officers, sailors and civilian are present. To recognize the dedication and excellence of performance, CSD has awarded NUP to L t Cdr M Musa Salim Rabbani, (SD) (O/E), BN and BSP to Commodore Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, (L), psc, BN. Relevant structures ashore and afloat were decorated with colorful flags, festoons and lights. A documentary show on “Armed Forces on Liberation War” was Showed at CSD Conference room, Recreation Hall, All Messes and Civil Barack on 1000 and Preeti Bhoj was arranged at Dockyard Dining Hall where all officers, sailors and selected civilian personnel with their families were present.
